Borodin Quartet, 68. yıllarını kutlayan dünyanın en uzun soluklu, en önemli dörtlülerinden… 1945’de Rusya’da Moskova Konservatuvar dörtlüsü olarak kurulan topluluk, çelloda efsane isim Mirsdolav Rostropovitch, 1. ve 2. kemanlarda Rostislav Dubinsky ve Nina Barshai, viyolada Rudolf Barshai’den kurulduğunda soğuk savaş döneminde bile dünyanın en ünlü topluluklarından biriydi. Hatta Dmitri Shostakovich’in bile gönül verdiği topluluk şu anki kadrosu ile dünyanın en önemli salonlarının aranılan dörtlüsü…
Üstelik festivalde dörtlüye Rus ekolünün efsane piyanisti Alexei Voldin eşlik edecek. Rus piyano ekolünün günümüzdeki en önemli isimleri arasında yer alan Volodin, filozof bir müzisyen ve gerçek bir piyano virtüözü.
